Let me clarify that the course has been launched by the Defence Research and Development Organization in collaboration with the Defence Institute of Advance Technology (DIAT). DRDO has financed this course and DIAT, a deemed university, is the course content provider.

Interested candidates can enroll in this program and qualify for the exam which is going to be held online. The course has been designed by industry experts, DRDO specialists, and Cyber Security Advisors.
Talking about the curriculum has been designed by including both theory and practice sessions. After the completion of the program and qualifying for the exams, the candidates will be awarded with a certificate from DRDO and DIAT named “DIAT Certified Information Assurance Professional“.
Eligibility Criteria for Certification:
This certification is open for all Computer Science or Information Technology Graduates as well as professionals who are thinking of establishing successful careers in the field of technology. It means that if you are someone who belongs to CS or It field then only you can join this program.
This program is designed to enhance your skills so you need to have at least basic knowledge of cyber security otherwise you are going to face a lot of problems during this course. Keep in mind that the certificate will only be provided to those candidates who qualifies the proctored exam which will be held on online mode.
Syllabus & Curriculum of Cyber Security Online Course
The duration of the course is 12 weeks and during these 12 weeks you are going to learn the fundamentals of cyber security as well as the advanced topics will also be covered. The main topics included in this course are malware analysis, reverse engineering, digital forensics, mitigation exploration, vulnerability analysis, and tools and techniques for professionals.
The main syllabus of the course are:
- Forensics and incident response
- Cybersecurity essentials
- Vulnerability discovery modules for Windows, iOS, and Linux
- Malware analysis and reverse engineering
- Driver or system programming and OS internals
- Tools and techniques for cybersecurity professionals
- Penetration testing and vulnerability analysis
To enroll in this certification program you need to qualify entrance test as well. The candidates who are going to take the entrance test of this course are required to have a basic knowledge of cyber security as I mentioned before as the questions will be designed by this prospective only.
The important topics for the entrance test are:
- Networking: socket programming, TCP/IP, OSI, applications and ports, server messaging block, win32 socket APIs.
- Proficiency in programming languages and familiarity with at least one scripting language like Python, Ruby, Javascript, etc.
- Fundamentals of OS, practical knowledge of BSD-based OS, IPC, device management, memory management, Windows 32/64 APIs, shell programming, and file management
- Data Structures and Algorithms
- System software: main memory space, registers, and addressing modes, x86 instruction set, basic assembly language knowledge.
Application Process
Candidates thinking of enrolling in this course must fulfill the eligibility criteria, then only you are eligible for this course. To apply for enrollment in this program must fill out the form before 15th February 2024. And then the date for the entrance test will be declared.
